I recently arranged for the newly offered crypt vase decoration feature. It was amazingly easy to sign up for and the vases were installed quickly. They are lovely and a touching tribute to our loved ones. Thank you for the prompt service.
I am very disappointed in the ground maintenance that has degraded over the years! In summers they knock over and run over flowers and items. To a point we don't put potted flowers there any more. One year after that I purchased a $35 predecorated cross. Within a month or so, it was gone! I called the office and a young Spanish person who answered the office phone he told me "it was too large (over 12" high)" it was not! "So it was removed." So I didn't put anything there for a while. After a couple years I put another $35 cross there 12" high. Well, it disappeared again! So these days I put smaller inexpensive items there and even those sometimes get mowed over! In recent years the cemetary had added new graves. There is a Spanish area. The only reason I mention this is because those graves have multiple decorations large and small that seem to be there ALL the time! I don't know if the management knows this but it seems the workers are prejudice. There is a section in back where they put/dump the items that they remove seasonally and I have seen personal items from various nationalities and races, none of which look Spanish. This is a Catholic cemetary and I find this very disrepectful. There is no excuse for prejudice here from anyone!
I am so happy that I decided to make Queen of Heaven as my final resting place. I purchased a niche yesterday inside the mausoleum which I just discovered is the world’s largest Catholic mausoleum. This building is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in. So peaceful yet breathtaking! But what also makes it special are the people who work there. I have encountered Karly Rogers on several occasions and she is possibly the sweetest, most polite and caring person I met. She makes sure that the building is as beautiful as it is. She is hard working and will go out of her way to assist and answer any questions you have. She is AWESOME!
Another person who is AWESOME is Conor Quinn who was the gentleman who helped me with selecting the niche and drawing up the contract. He was so pleasant to deal with and so knowledgeable about the entire process. Took me to see what niches were available and answered any and all questions that I had. Very grateful to Conor.
And lastly, thanks to Teddy J. for his courteous and prompt response. He, along with Karly and Quinn, have shown me why Queen of Heaven is the perfect place to go whether it’s before or after. Nicest people around!
I spent time and money decorating my grandmothers grave to be beautiful but her decoration keeps getting stolen.? the first time i had bought artificial flowers and placed them in a yellow pot three weeks later the yellow pot was at her grave but the flowers where gone and I noticed that a grave two rows infront of her had the same exact flowers that her grave had and knew it was mine since i wrote her name on the stems and were planted into another persons grave which made my blood boil. If you don’t have money to decorate a grave don’t steal from others. Another incident i’ve been putting aritificial flowers around her tombstone & grave and have been getting stolen ever since!.
the decor is just artificial flowers which is allowed but if the decor isn’t up to your standards why not keep them on her grave so I can go take them off?. Another thing the “no dogs” sign is in front when entering yet a few people take their pit bulls and other big dogs without a leash which is annoying and could be extremely dangerous. I would like to coversate to someone about this reoccuring issue.
Not impressed with their policy to have a police officer from Hillside parked outside the gate fifteen minutes before closing preventing people from entering the cemetery. They should observe their opening and closing times.
Not impressed with the level of service. When you call the office, you never get a live person. Your call is directed to the answering machine. I've left msgs that have not been returned. Today, I received an order form for signature in the mail, however I had called to provide the information that is being requested 2-1/2 weeks ago. This information was provided over the phone, however no one told me it needed my signature. When I called today, I got the answering machine...again! No surprise. I kept calling until someone picked up the phone. Three times is a charm.
Always a lovely place to come visit. Very quiet. It's nice to walk up and down the halls, paying respects to those who rest there.
I'm not sure why people get mad that their decorations get thrown away... there's signs posted everywhere that the decorations are not permitted and/or temporary.
I really HATE my father is buried here. When I place decorations on his grave site, they are stolen or removed by cemetery…IT IS NOT AROUND TIMES (or season) WHEN DECORATIONS ARE REMOVED! And, it’s not overly decorated, just a wreath & flower bouquet. I place decorations 2 wks ago and they’re gone! My father is in a busy area which is always sloppy, noisy and not peaceful! I dread coming here for father’s day because last yr it was people around his marker having a a huge fiesta! Very loud and unpeaceful. Food & beer cans. I do believe some visitors are stealing decorations or the cemetery discards them! Where my father is buried, there are a lot of markers with decorations that seem to be untouched, and some of them are very old, but every time I go visit my father, his decorations are missing! I was already lied to in the beginning, by the person who assisted me, she told me the area she showed me had just opened up and that hardly any markers or headstones were in that particular area for this reason. It was winter time, and the ground was covered with snow so it was difficult tell if markers were in the select area or not, I trusted her word. When the snow melted, then I discovered she lied, he is surrounded by several markers that were there years ago. My father passed in 2022. It’s difficult to get in touch with anyone to discuss this matter. I’m really displeased & disgusted with this cemetery. I wish I can have my father removed from here. It’s already painful enough to lose a loved one, but then to have the love one buried in a place where there is very little respect and up keep, it adds more pain. It’s agonizing to come visit him at this cemetery, and with each visit, it’s always something disheartening, I don’t know what to expect, will it be a stolen wreath or stolen flowers?😵💫😩 I wish someone would contact me to discuss these issues.
